Apex, North Carolina: The Peak of Good Living
If you could create the perfect place to live, work, grow, and relish life it may very well look like Apex. But America’s best place to live didn’t happen by accident. It takes great commitment and vision to create an environment that’s so beloved by those who are fortunate enough to call it home. You just can’t manufacture small town charms like Apex.
The authentic, endearing character of Apex sets us apart from other nearby communities. The friendliness of generations of people who have lived here makes Apex a warm and appealing place, well-suited to the label “the Peak of Good Living.” Though Apex signifies the highest point on the old Chatham railroad line, today that name stands for the highest degree and quality of life to be found anywhere.
The Peak of Good Living means something unique to each person who lives here or visits. And you’ll know when you’ve reached it. You’ll know you’ve reached the peak as you explore historic downtown Salem Street filled with locally owned specialty shops, boutiques, and restaurants. You’ll know you’ve reached the peak while strolling the quiet, walkable neighborhoods with rocking chair front porches and the peaceful pace of life.
You’ll know you’ve reached the peak as you seek adventure in beautiful parks and on the lush extensive greenways which offer outdoor fun and fitness for all ages and abilities. All of that, plus the festivals and events held throughout the year, celebrating an array of cultures through food, dance, art, tradition, and family fun. And though most residents tell us that Apex is a great place to live, that doesn’t stop the town from continuing to improve upon the best services, amenities, and environment for all its citizens. It’s true that no one place is perfect.
But if you were searching for the most ideal place to be, you may very well find yourself in an idyllic part of North Carolina, not far from Raleigh, nestled halfway between the mountains and the sea. Salem Street in historic downtown Apex comes alive during Apex PeakFest. Celebrating arts and crafts festival with street performers, live music and festival food.
